Makenzie's first game of the season

Makenzie had her first game on November 5th. We didn't fair too well, but we have a young team and improve each time they play. Makenzie along with Maryellen were voted by their teammates to be the team captains.

Rivalry Saturday

It was a beautiful Saturday morning in November for a match up against our rival team. unfortunately, the weather was the only nice thing during that game. At least Jacob's Sophomore team beat them twice!

Always a full house when this rivalry is in the house!

Jacob had the #42 painted on his cheek, he had the #53 painted on the other, but we only got sunburned on the right side of our body that day.

I spy...

It's always nice to see your kids on TV enjoying BYU sports!

Glad I bought those costumes for their friends to wear!

Their cousin Kyle took this while watching the BYU basketball game

Brittney finally got her picture taken with Tyler Haws

The Rematch

On October 31st, Jacob's team had to play a team they already beat earlier on, but this time the came counted towards district standings. This team is our district rival so to beat them twice would be nice and that's exactly what they did!!
The day before the game, we had goodie bags for each of the boys.  The local Whataburger gave us bags and a coupon for a free Whataburger for each boy!! I bought Gatorade and a mom made some cute cookies and and a cute candy bag. There were a few other thing also. The boys were very excited to get these after practice.

How cute are those cookies!!
On to the big game. The first time we played this school it was on our field, now we had to play them on their home turf, but stilled pulled out a win, which made us District Champions. We still had one more game to play, but this win clinched the deal. Jacob had a super game, probably one of his best defensive games in a long time. Jacob also got his #18 jersey, the maroon one disappeared, so he wears #28 in maroon.

Team Prayer. We can do that in Texas!

Tied at half-time

Jacob got a face mask called on him.

Our fans, pretty good for a sophomore game!

Some pretty excite boys!

We got a few pictures after Jacob got off the bus.He even smiled!

Trunk or Treat

Makenzie and I went to the church Trunk or Treat just to pass out candy. It also gave us a good excuse to wear the banana and gorilla costumes.

Makenzie and I switched costumes.

Scrimmages

Makenzie's basketball season started a few weeks ago and she had a couple of different scrimmages. She got a lot of playing time.

Sunday Swag

The Teacher's Quorum decided to have a Bow Tie Sunday. Only 3 participated, but they looked good.

An attempt to catch up

I just have not had time to catch up on what we are doing, not that we are doing anything different than football and basketball. Jacob's football season has ended and Makenzie started basketball a few weeks ago and Jacob started basketball this week. Dale has been super busy at work and I'm still selling football tickets, taking pictures for all the kids teams. All the time I send on the computer is downloading pictures, editing them and then uploading them for all the parents to see. Time do do some uploading on my blog so Brittney will quit having to go through all the sports pictures just to find the ones of Jacob and Makenzie. You are welcome, Brittney.
