We attended Jacob's basketball banquet where all the boys players were recognized for their efforts. His banquet was different from the girls. At the girls banquet all the girls get a certificate, but they only talk about the varsity players, at the boys, every person had something said about them. I also liked how when the varsity players were introduced, they were recognized for their efforts off the court as well as on the court, after all,they are "student athletes".
Coach Peiffer, Jacob's coach, said Jacob was a true guard and only had one weakness, we were all thinking he was going to say his right hand since he is left handed, but to our surprise he said, "he is only 25% from half court". Yes, Jacob took 4 shots from there at the buzzer and one went in.
