Headed to Utah

Dale and I flew out to Utah for Brittney's graduation. We stopped at Ashlee's for haircuts on the way to Provo. Got to Provo and hit up the bookstore and then went to Brick Oven that night with Carolyn, Kelly and Kristen and Brittney brought her friend Josinah.

State Soccer Y

Both our girls and boys soccer teams made it to the state tournament, final 4. I drove up to Georgetown and Jacob drove up with friends to watch them play. The girls lost their first game in a shoot out. Jacob and I went to Rosas for lunch and then headed back to the boys game. It started late because of rain and then once it started we kept getting more delays caused by lightening and rain. Jacob and I finally left because he had the ACT in the morning. We were held up on the road because of an accident in which they closed the highway, we should have stayed at the game. Well the boys won and went on to play on Saturday. Unfortunately they lost, we didn't drive up to the game, instead we watched it on TV.

Me and the rest of the Cinco student body stopped here

Uncle Brent

Today Uncle Brent left this earth. He will be missed. I always loved to go to his home, he always had a funny joke to tell and some interesting stories that he shared. I would go back to his computer room and he would show me pictures from his many trips to Germany and also funny things shared on the Internet. So glad to know we will see him again.

BAM Campout

Dale and Jacob went to Be A Man Campout this weekend. Dale slept in a tent by himself and Jacob and a couple of others went away from everyone else and made their shelter. Dale didn't sleep well since he forgot a pillow and Jacob just didn't sleep. They roast a pig and then have it for lunch.

Basketball Banquet

We had the Annual Basketball Banquet and the Golf Club at Cinco Ranch. It's kind of long, but I like how all the coaches take time to talk about each and every player from all of the teams.

Jacob and most of the team, a few were not there yet

Jacob took the plastic basketball ring off his piece of cake and put it on

It's always nice to see these guys smile

I think Coach King is looking at the basketball ring

The Varsity Squad minus 2

JR got MVP, but shared a pic with Jacob

This is Sedric, we adopted him for this pic.
Something funny, during Senior Night when they were talking about Sedric, he said his favorite athlete was,
Jacob Smith, if I had know that was going to be said, we would have recorded it.

Most important, Jacob got Academic All-District.

Easter

This year Easter fell on General Conference weekend. In between Sunday's sessions, we went to our neighbors, the Shorts and had Easter dinner with them. It was fun visiting with them and their daughter Alisa, her husband and kids. We don't do that often enough with them.

Makenzie's Phi Eta Sigma Induction

Makenzie got into the National Honor Society at BYU because of her grades, she was in the top 20% of all the freshman. She went to the banquet last night to receive her award. She is also a good daughter for getting a picture for me!
