Basketball v Memorial

I only saw half of Jacob's game since Memorial is a little further away than some of the school in district play.
Jacob's team won and Makenzie's team lost in overtime. The refs tries to give the game to Memorial  during Makenzie's game. the game was tied with 10 seconds left and there was a time out. There was still time left on the time out clock, but the refs gave Memorial the ball before we broke the huddle. Makenzie darted out of the huddle and ran down the court and knocked the ball out of their hands right as they were going to take a shot. One of the parents from Memorial even told us it was a low blow by the refs. Makenzie played the whole game except for about 2 minutes and she had 9 points. She was the player of the game.

Basketball v Strake Jesuit

Since Strake Jesuit is an all boys school Makenzie didn't have a game.
It's nice getting to watch a full game without having to rush off to another school.
Jacob's team won!

It was also favorite teacher night. Jacob choose Coach Mathis, she is his World History teacher.
Coach Mathis was also Makenzie's freshman basketball coach and is now the girls track coach.

Welcome back

It's March 18th, so it's been 2 and half months since I've posted. We mostly have been up to basketball and now track, but I will post pics in order of the day the games happened and hopefully I can get this done in the next few days.

Pictures from January 3, 2014 games against Seven Lakes. Jacob's team won and Makenzie's team lost.

Matthew and Brittney were home from BYU and got to see their younger siblings play

Makenzie with Mr Sanders. He was Makenzie's shot put and discus coach in Jr High
and he was her Texas History teacher.

Both girls with Mr Sanders. He was also Brittney's basketball and volleyball coach in Jr High

Finally Caught Up

One of my new years resolutions is to never get this far behind on my blog again! I just got caught up on a 2 month slump, but wanted to get it down so we can publish it. I have spent so much time at basketball games and the school and then editing basketball pictures, that I've had little desire to sit at the computer any longer than I have to. Now i need to get all the Christmas decorations down, I was late getting them up, so I wanted to enjoy them some, but now it's time for them to come down, but we have basketball games tonight and Matthew and Brittney leave for Provo tomorrow afternoon, so maybe next week It will all be down.

Happy 2014

The fried turkey Dale cooked on Thanksgiving was so good, he decided to do another one on New Years Day. This might become a new tradition!
Dale injected the turkey with Jalapeno Butter

Lowering the turkey into the fryer

Charlie likes it when Dale cooks, usually means some yummy scraps

Sammie also likes it when Dale cooks.
