Took Becky and Thad to Galveston for their cruise and then we took the other 3 kids to the airport and we were left with Jacob at home.

We took Becky and Thad to Pappasito's for lunch and then we went to the mall. Becky and I were finding all kinds of funky clothes!

Black Friday

The girls and I hit the stores, but not too early. We were shopping for Brittney's student teaching clothes and found some good deals and found some stuff for Makenzie also. Thanksgiving night, Matthew and Jacob hit up a sale at Target and got Jacob's Christmas present at a really discounted price! We has some successful Christmas shopping trips! That night my sister Becky and her husband Thad also flew into town, to stay with us a few days before they went on their cruise.

Thanksgiving 2014

Matthew, Brittney and Makenzie were able to fly home for Thanksgiving, we were hoping Jacob would still be playing football so they could go to a game, but that didn't happen.
Thanksgiving morning started off as usual, the girls and I ran the Turkey Dash and the boys went to play football, well, just Matthew played this year. After the run, I showered and started on dinner, we did 2 turkeys, one in the oven and we fried the other. It was a pretty relaxed day.

Jacob's 1st Basketball Game of the Season

Jacob had one day of practice before his varsity debut, so we didn't think he was going to get to play. The team got way up and all of his football friends started to chant his name, the coaches finally put him in towards the end. I wish we had gotten them chanting his name on video, that was the best part of the whole night!

Basketball Training

Jacob's basketball trainer, Coach Drew Lasker, plays basketball overseas, but keeps up with his players through email and Instagram. He had some nice things to say about Jacob on Instagram as Jacob starts his basketball season.

Basketball Pep Rally

There was a pep rally for all winter sports and since Jacob made the varsity basketball team, he was included in this rally.

Texans Game

Dale got invited to a suite, to watch the Texans game and I got to go with him. It was my first Texans game, and since they weren't playing the Broncos, I had to go buy a Texans shirt. I cheer for my Denver Broncos, but will cheer for the Texans unless they are playing the Broncos.
