Our Saturday

We started out with Jacob's League basketball game that Dale coaches. We won! 1st Place! Hopefully we will do well in the tournament and get a second trophy!

After League basketball it was off to church basketball.

Then it was yard work for Dale. He got to use his new chainsaw and saw down the frost bitten jungle from our very cold winter.

Brittney's Coaching Debut

After Jacob's basketball game we headed to the church for the church basketball game. When we got there Brittney was coaching another Ward's team. It was fun to watch her. She might have a career in coaching.

They lost by 1 point, but that is because they were ahead by 4 and she told them to slow it down and they kept taking stupid shots instead of passing and stalling.

Jacob Ordained a Deacon

Today, Dale was able to ordain Jacob as a Deacon and my Dad was also here to participate. We are proud of Jacob and that he was worthy to receive the Priesthood.Dad, Dale and Jacob

Mom's Birthday

Happy 76th Birthday Mom. We were lucky enough to have my Mom here during her birthday. We got her a cookie cake since we still had cake from Jacob's birthday. She had never had a cookie cake.

Since our family doesn't sing too well, we had to hire our friend Chantel and her boyfriend Daniel to sing for my mom. Actually, Chantel and Daniel came by to get something, so we waited till they got there to sing.

Jacob's Birthday

For Jacob's birthday we just had a family dinner of Domino's pizza and hot wings. Jacob had his favorite cake, Chocolate with chocolate frosting. Contemplating his birthday wish or just hoping we will quit singing

Class Rankings

Brittney got her class ranking today: She is 45 out 719 Juniors! Not too shabby! Of course she gets her brains from her mother, since she was smart enough to marry someone really smart!
Way to go Brittney. You just have to take down 35 people in the next year to be in the top 10!

Jacob the Leader

Jacob received a leadership award at school yesterday. They called Dale at work to tell him he was getting the award, but they didn't call me. He received a certificate and a t-shirt to wear to school today and he gets to be on CNN(Coyote Network News) today. I asked Makenzie to take her camera and tape Jacob on CNN but don't think she will, that wouldn't be cool. We are proud of Jacob. Certificate

The kids were allowed to wear PJ's to school if they donated money for the Haiti Relief Fund. I went to give them some money and they told me they were using their own money. That made my day. I made them take the extra money anyways.

Brittney got to play some point guard last night. She played some last game also.I didn't get a picture last week because I was in shock to see her playing that position. This is so not her specialty and so out of her comfort zone, but she did a good job. Taking the ball down the court

Giraffe or Mustang?

A few years ago we were the football game of the week when we played this school .The TV crews came to our schools the morning of the game and film the band and cheerleaders. One of the news anchor made a comment something like, Go Giraffe's. He later apologized when he found out it was a Mustang, but put up a picture of Geoffrey the Giraffe from Toys-R-Us so you could see the similarities. I'm with the news anchor.
